Infocus Turbo 5 Plus Review : Some hits, some missed but eventually decent

The Turbo 5 Plus is a nice smartphone meant for the people’s who need a long battery life

The phones offers a 4850 mAH battery that takes around 3.5hrs from 0% to 100%, which can easily last a normal user more then 48 hours on one single charge but with this large battery, the phone feels doesn’t feels heavy or bulky.

Talking about the design

InFocus’s new offering has a premium looking metal unibody design and 2.5D curved glass screen up front.

There’s a clickable front fingerprint scanner. This serves as the home button (click) as well as the back button (tap) — you also get onscreen nav bar.

Moving on to the Camera

One of the key highlights of the Turbo 5 Plus are its dual cameras that sit at the top of the rear panel. The primary camera comes with a 13-megapixel sensor, while the secondary cam includes a 5-megapixel sensor – which is to capture wide-angle shots.

The camera performance is decent but there are some issues in the camera application that slows down the focusing and shutter speed

There’s no doubt that the plus variant looks much better when compared to the Turbo 5. InFocus, it seems, has tried really hard to make the phone look better than its predecessor. And, InFocus – more or less has succeeded in doing so. The phone with its rounded edges and curved 2.5D glass display looks nice and feels good in the hands. It’s still all-plastic though.

The Turbo 5 Plus comes with 5.5-inch screen with 720×1280 IPS HD resolution. The display works fine and is far better than the Turbo 5, even the brightness level is good this time.

Performance of the phone while gaming

The game ran quite well without any lags for first 15 minutes but later we could easily find some minor lags. after continuous play of 40-45 minutes the temperature started to rise but overall gaming experience was fine.

Hardware wise :

The InFocus Turbo 5 Plus is powered by 1.5GHz octa-core MediaTek MT6750 processor and it comes with 3GB of RAM. The phone packs 32GB of internal storage that can be expanded up to 32GB via a microSD card.

MT6750 is a bit low performing and old processor but on the turbo 5 Plus, i didn’t felt any kind of lags or issues while gaming, even the battery life of the phone is incredible
